I thought I'd show you the very first thing that anyone sees when they come to our house.
...Our front porch, of course!
It seems that I've entered a contest with me, myself & I to use what I have
for Christmas decorating this year.
The chair was made by my grandfather years and years and years ago.
It has to be nearly an antique.
I had the boxes and the tin bucket, and I loaded them with pinecones and evergreens from our yard.
The only person who loves *free* decorating projects more than I do is my husband!

Looks like a shoot for a magazine. Beautiful in it's simplicity and nature. Love the chair and it's history make it that much more precious. I love using things from my grandma - especially at the holidays. I use a blanket of hers under one of my trees, and I always make her chocolate pudding as one of the desserts on the holidays.
